Councillor Alicia Trivett is an elected member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation Council, serving a term from March 31, 2025 to March 31, 2029, under the First Nations Elections Act. In her role on Council, she works alongside the Chief and fellow councillors to guide governance, community development, and strategic priorities for the Nation.
As part of the leadership team, Alicia contributes to oversight of key portfolios that support the well‑being and growth of Georgina Island, including areas such as early childhood education, social services & homemakers, police services & first response, language and culture. Her work helps carry forward the First Nation’s commitment to being a progressive, community‑centred government focused on sustainable development and partnership opportunities while maintaining Anishinaabe values and principles.
In addition to her Council responsibilities, Councillor Trivett plays an active role in community communications and engagement, as well as community events and volunteerism. She is a key contact for member inquiries and helping ensure that community members have access to information, updates, and secure member‑only resources. Her involvement reflects her dedication to transparency, accessibility, and supporting informed community participation.
