Councillor Benson BigCanoe proudly serves the Chippewas of Georgina Island with a strong commitment to community safety, essential infrastructure, and sustainable service delivery. Councillor BigCanoe holds the portfolios for Transportation, Water Treatment and Distribution, Housing, Public Works, and Infrastructure. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight in areas that are fundamental to daily community life, including transportation services, roads, utilities, housing development, and core operational systems. His work is focused on maintaining safe and reliable transportation, strengthening infrastructure, supporting dependable water services, and ensuring public spaces and community assets are well maintained.
